A triptych designed from the perspective of biomimetics, an approach in which nature is seen as an intelligent designer. By observing how natural systems solve problems through evolution, a different way of thinking and designing emerges. This work visualizes three ways in which humans relate to nature. In the first piece, a black-and-white graphic image, we live around nature: distant and observing. In the second, painted on acrylic, we live on nature: it literally supports us. In the third part, a spatial object, we live with nature: growing, learning, and adapting together, as seen in the structure of a tree trunk. An exploration of how we can reconnect with nature by observing, listening, and learning from what already lives.
